The Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival is the Biggest and Best Festival at Dollywood!

Smoky Mountain Christmas FestivalThe Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival runs from November 10th thru December 30th. Dollywood transforms into a stunning Christmas wonderland highlighted by over 3 million lights! You will enjoy festive foods, sensational shows and fill your heart with the spirit of Christmas!

One of the show highlights of the festival is the incredible journey through Dollywood’s Babes in Toyland. 21 toy soldiers march across the stage led by a 14 foot general. The cast consists of 20 members and is accompanied by a fully orchestrated musical score. The show consists of a variety of characters that come to life through puppetry, amazing acrobats and beautiful scenery. This show is returning by popular demand and is a must see while visiting the Christmas festival.

Smoky Mountain Christmas FestivalOther highlights include the country’s tallest German Christmas pyramid, many Christmas themed shows and Santa’s Workshop. In Santa’s workshop, you will find Santa Claus and larger than life size toys to greet you. Enjoy Appalachian Christmas, a down home acoustic Christmas performance at the Back Porch Theater. Look for Ebenezer Scrooge as he walks around the park spreading his brand of Christmas cheer. And meet Tinker the famous Christmas tree. He is larger than life and will entertain your children with his hilarious antics and fun holiday stories. Also watch for the Victorian Melodies carolers.

Dollywood’s Christmas shows include Christmas in the Smokies, Twas the Night Before Christmas, O’ Holy Night, An Appalachian Christmas and Carol of the Trees. You can find more information on these shows on our Dollywood show page at Dollywood's Shows!

Smoky Mountain Christmas FestivalDo you like parades? Everyone loves parades and Dollywood’s Parade of Lights is one Christmas parade that you won’t want to miss! The parade features Christmas floats decorated with festive lights. Holiday characters add to the fun of the parade as it makes it’s way through the streets of Dollywood.

The Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival is one of my favorite times of the year to visit Dollywood. Whether you are a kid or a kid at heart you will enjoy your time here. One thing is for sure, you will leave with a true spiritual feeling of the true meaning of Christmas!
