Pigeon Forge Supermarkets Supply All You’ll Need for a Fun Week in the Mountains There
are many Pigeon Forge supermarkets to choose from to buy your supplies
for vacation week. Many folks, like us, like to utilize the grills
supplied by almost all cabin rentals to cookout and enjoy an evening or
two at our cabin. Food City has a big presence in the area. If you are
not familiar with Food City, they are similar to the old IGA stores you
would see in smaller towns. Their prices are surprisingly competitive
and their meat is locally butchered not packaged and sent in like
Wal-Mart.
When looking for a Pigeon Forge supermarket, I would suggest just staying on the Parkways and you’ll find one to your liking and not have to worry about getting lost or temporarily misplaced as I like to say! If you want to get your groceries as you’re coming into the Pigeon Forge area, there are several places to choose from. Off Interstate 40 you will be entering the area on Winfield Dunn Parkway. Located in a shopping center on the right hand side, you will see a Kroger’s supermarket. If you need more than a supermarket you will also find a K Mart and a CVS Drug Store on this Parkway. Click Here! Once Winfield Dunn Parkway ends, you will be making a right hand turn onto Parkway. This is the main road that goes through Sevierville and Pigeon Forge. While still in Sevierville, you will come across what I call the biggest tourist attraction in the area, a Wal-Mart Supercenter! Some say Dollywood is the biggest tourist attraction in Pigeon Forge but I think I see more people in here everyday! However, they are equipped to handle the business as this is one of the busiest Wal-Marts in the chain. One thing to keep in mind if you like to relax with an adult beverage is that Sevierville does not sell alcoholic beverages and that includes the Wal-Mart. Once you get into Pigeon Forge that is not an issue. One of the Pigeon Forge supermarkets that we do a majority of our shopping at is the Kroger’s on Wears Valley Rd. They have everything you need including a Pharmacy and they do not have the issue mentioned above. Turn right off the Parkway onto Wears Valley Rd. which is at the All American Pancake House. Kroger’s is a half mile on the right and easy to get back onto the Parkway.
If your cabin or where you are staying is located more towards Gatlinburg then you may want to shop at the Food City which is located at that end of Pigeon Forge. Below is a list of Pigeon Forge supermarkets as well as other stores in the area you may want to visit.
