in the area. Usually the biggest is the best. There must be some reason
why cabin owners list their properties with certain agencies. So those
that have the most listings are usually the best kept cabins. We have
rented cabins from several different agencies in the Pigeon Forge area
and we have had great experiences with all of them. If a problem comes
up during your stay, the rental company’s quick to fix the
problem and ensure your satisfaction.
 If
your Pigeon Forge lodging plans do include renting a cabin, you may
consider renting one direct from the owner. Many cabin owners in the
area prefer to rent them themselves. It takes the middle man out, and
usually gives you a better rate. It costs cabin owners quite a bit of
money to employ a rental agency to take care of rental bookings and
upkeep of the cabin. There are many websites that private owners list
their cabins on as well as advertising in local newspapers.
Of course if staying in a cabin is not your
thing or you just want to be in the center of all the activity, then
staying at a local hotel or motel is certainly an option. You’ll
be minutes away from the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountain National
Park and also be conveniently located closely to all the theaters,
restaurants, attractions and shopping malls in the area. If you prefer
the confidence of staying at one of the national chain motels, there is
Super 8, Red Roof Inn, Country Inn & Suites, Best Western, Econo
Lodge, Microtel and Comfort Inn just to name a few. Of course many of
the locally owned motels are also excellent choices.
 While
planning your Pigeon Forge lodging needs, you may want to consider a
vacation package. This option actually helps you plan more of your
vacation along with your lodging and usually at cheaper rates. Several
of the area motels and cabin rentals offer vacation packages for a
specific number of nights stay along with tickets to area attractions
which you can select. These packages and rates vary depending on the
season but usually you can find a package that fits your needs for any
time of the year!
Another Pigeon Forge lodging option is to
stay at a local bed and breakfast establishment. We haven’t
stayed at any of these places but we have seen a few and they are
beautiful Inns. And the people in the Pigeon Forge area are so friendly
that I’m sure you will enjoy the hospitality! There are many Bed
and Breakfast Inns to choose from in the Pigeon Forge area.
 If
you are the adventurous type, enjoy camping, love the outdoors or
travel in an RV, then you have come to the right place. Pigeon Forge
offers many different campgrounds to choose from including several in
the Smoky Mountain National Park. And after all, the Smokies is one of
America’s favorite places to camp. The campgrounds are
conveniently located to all the attractions and shopping that the area
offers and if you want to get away into the wilderness of the National
Park, there are 10 developed campgrounds available. Depending on the
time of the year, these camp sites are either first come – first
served or reservation only. Check ahead to see whether reservations are
needed.
