Dollywood Kidsfest is the Largest Celebration for the Kids in the South Dollywood
Kidsfest will entertain the kids on summer break with extraordinary
events just for the kids and the young at heart. From June 15th thru
August 5th Dollywood hosts the largest children’s festival in the
South.
There are many attractions, entertainment and activities for the kids like Untamed Illusions show. This magnificent production features the Merlin Award winning Fercos Brothers along with a cast of exotic cats.
 Also Veggies Tales Live returns to the Dollywood Kidsfest and a new fun filled simulator ride, Yogi’s Wild Ride
makes it debut. Join Yogi Bear on his mission from Bedrock to Outer
Space to rescue Elroy Jetson from Dick Dastardly and Muttley. The kids
will love Dolly’s Imagination Playhouse with three live shows!
There are over 100 hands on activities to
entertain the kids and their minds. They’ll never know that
learning could be so much fun! There will be many cartooned characters
roaming the streets and interacting with the children. Bring the camera
as you won’t believe how many “Kodak moments” there
will be.
The youth of the area has always been a special interest of Dolly Parton. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
was formed in 1996 for preschoolers in her native Sevier County,
Tennessee. The program is to encourage kids to enjoy reading and love
books. Once registered, every child born in Sevier County receives a
book each month until they reach five years old. A committee of
educators and child development experts select the books for the
library and in 1999, the program was extended nationally so other
states could replicate the program in their communities. With this love
for children, it is no wonder Dollywood has a Kidsfest celebration!
