The Dixie Stampede Pigeon Forge is the Greatest Show in the Smokies! The
Dixie Stampede Pigeon Forge is the best entertainment value while
staying in Pigeon Forge. Not only do you see a spectacular show but you
get a free opening act prior to the main show and a delicious four
course meal. We have been to the Dixie Stampede Pigeon Forge show
several times and even once in Myrtle Beach. I also highly encourage
you, if you ever get the chance, to see the Christmas Dixie Stampede
show. It is totally awesome!
 Unlike
any other show you will see in Pigeon Forge, this show is an adventure.
It takes place in a 35,000 square foot arena that sits 1,000 guests in
a horseshoe design seating area. Without giving too much away, the show
starts out with a lot of fog pouring into the arena. Then you hear this
thundering of hooves and all of a sudden a herd of wild buffalo appear!
It’s very exciting. The show features 32 horses, dozens of cast
members, live ostrich races, hilarious comedy, fantastic musical
numbers and a lot of competition between the North and the South, in a
civil war time atmosphere.
The show contains spectacular special
effects, amazing horse feats, stunt riders and magic! You’ll have
a blast as you get to participate in the show as well. And you
won’t leave hungry! Words can’t describe the Dixie Stampede
Pigeon Forge. Take my word for it, it is a must see while vacationing
in Pigeon Forge.
 Fifty
minutes prior to the main event, you can relax in the Carriage Room and
enjoy the music and comedy of the Bluegrass and Country band Wild Oats.
The band includes a two time Florida State vocalist champion, a three
time National Banjo Champion and a Guitarist/Mandolin player that has
played with many stars including Suzy Bogus and Charlie Daniels!
Refreshments are available and this pre show is included in your ticket
purchase.
Once you are admitted and seated in the main arena for the Dixie Stampede show, you will soon start receiving your four course dinner. One thing you need to know, these vittles are eaten country style with no silverware. This dinner truly is finger lick’n good! Your meal includes:

The
Dixie Stampede show is great to see year round but there is something
special about the Christmas show. In the spirit of Pigeon Forge and its
festival of lights, this wonderful time of year is truly brought to
life in the Dixie Stampede Christmas show. It will warm your heart and
fill your soul with the holiday spirit. The Christmas show is filled
with a lot of the same fun and adventure you see in the year round show
but it is also filled with wonderful, down home, country Christmas
music with evergreens, twinkling lights, poinsettias and old-fashioned
holiday costumes. The highlight of the show is the live nativity scene
with the three kings riding camels to Bethlehem with beautiful angels
above. And of course Santa Claus makes an appearance too!
